Who are the instructors?
Sensei
Dustin Davis began his martial arts training in 1991 and fought
in several “Ultimate Fighter” style NHB tournaments. He
has trained adults & children of all ages, winning NAGA (North American
Grappling Association) & NHB fighters, as well as Marine Corps Close
Combat Instructor Trainers. He trained in Zanshindo directly from its
founder, Will McCullough, and was the third person to ever earn a Black
Belt from Mr. McCullough. There are a few dozen Zanshindo Black Belts
worldwide, and Dustin is one of only three to have earned a 2nd degree
Black Belt. Dustin & several of his fellow Zanshindo practitioners
can be seen in the film "Blood, Sweat, & Teeth", a documentary
on No Holds Barred fighting.
Jenna
Davis is Dustin’s daughter and earned her Green Belt
in Youth Zanshindo directly from the founder as well. On Oct 5 2007
she was promoted to Purple Belt by UZA President Abe Stem. On Nov 3
2007 at the NAGA Georgia championships she won 2 Silver Medals in the
kids divisions. She then stepped up past both the kids & teen divisions
and at age 12 was the youngest competitor to become a NAGA Champion
and win 1st place in an adult division.
She
assists her father during the Youth Zanshindo classes while continuing
her own training.
